1.At this time, Beckett Grading Services accepts and grades most licensed cards up to 8.5 inches by 11 inches. Additional fees will apply to items larger then 3x5. Please note that cards showing evidence of counterfeiting, tampering, or restoration will be charged the full amount according to the service option selected. By not checking either of the “Authentic” boxes on the front of the submission form, your cards will be given a numeric grade if the cards are deemed to be gradable by BGS standards. Usual grading fees apply. Please refer to www.beckett.com/grading for updated information.
2.All submissions must be addressed to Beckett Grading Services. Improperly addressed shipments are not subject to turnaround time selected. Cards should be sent in oversized (3.25" X 5") semi-rigid holders (such as a Card Saver I). “Penny sleeves” should also be used in conjunction with the oversized semi-rigid holders. BGS will not be responsible for any damages incurred by the use of other holders.
3.All card submissions must be accompanied by a Beckett-issued submission form. All other forms, including handwritten copies, are null and void.
4.Please PRINT your name and account number (if you have one) in the upper right corner of the form. If you do not have an account number, one will be assigned to you.
6.Please be sure to notate your return shipping method of choice in the 'SHIP VIA' box. Standard shipping will be via FedEx Ground unless otherwise marked. Feel free to use your existing FedEx or UPS account # if you have one. BGS reserves the right to change carriers without notice unless a shipping account is being used.
7.List all cards you are submitting with quantity, year of issue, set name or company (please use standard Beckett terminology when possible), card number, card/player name, and your declared value per lot. You may use additional forms to list more cards, but please only choose one service level per submission form.
8.Select 'Grading Service' level. Check one level only. (See top of rules section for more details). Please separate cards based on submission levels and requirements.
9.To determine amount owed, use the 'Calculating $ to be paid to BGS' area. Total the number of cards submitted and multiply by the price per card for the grading service you select. Figure return postage and insurance using appropriate tables. Add 8.25% Sales Tax to the cost of service and shipping if you are a Texas resident only, unless the cards are for re-sale and you provide us with a valid re-sale tax ID number.
examined or processed until payment is made in full. Don't forget the expiration date, security code, and signature. All payments must be in U.S. funds. Returned checks will be assessed a $30.00 fee.
11.Be sure to include return insurance and ship to address on top of submission form. Send to the attention of 'Beckett Grading Services. Beckett will not be responsible for damages on packages sent for grading so insurance and tracking is recommended. Owner's declared value is used for determining insurance cost of the return shipment and the maximum amount that can be claimed for damage or loss in shipment for any card or cards. If a claim is necessary at any point, the value of each card will be based upon the actual market value not to exceed the insured value the customer assigned to the card.

The other option is to receive the shipment USPS Global Express. Customers are liable for the cost on any applicable customs, duties and taxes. Filling out the Beckett Grading form is a straightforward process. Follow the steps below to ensure that your submission is complete and accurate. This will help facilitate a smooth grading experience for your cards.
The Beckett Grading form is designed for collectors who wish to submit their cards for grading and authentication. By filling out this form, you provide essential information about each card, including its condition, declared value, and the grading service level you are requesting. This ensures that your cards are evaluated accurately and efficiently.
To complete the form, follow these steps:
Make sure to include payment and any necessary shipping information before sending your submission.
Beckett Grading Services accepts most licensed cards that fit within the size limit of 8.5 inches by 11 inches. This includes various sports cards and non-gaming cards. However, additional fees apply for oversized items larger than 3x5 inches. It's important to ensure your cards are not counterfeit or altered, as these will not be graded.
If a card is found to be altered, it will not receive a numeric grade. Instead, it will be sealed and authenticated in a standard Beckett Authentic/Altered case. You have the option to select whether you want a numeric grade or just authentication on the submission form.
To calculate your total fees:
Ensure all calculations are done accurately to avoid delays in processing your submission.
Beckett Grading Services accepts various payment methods, including personal checks, money orders, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). It's important to note that cash should not be sent with your submission. All payments must be made in U.S. funds.
Cards should be sent in oversized semi-rigid holders, such as Card Saver I, along with penny sleeves. This helps protect the cards during transit. Beckett Grading Services will not be responsible for any damage caused by improper packaging, so ensure your cards are securely packaged to avoid any issues.
If you have more than 12 cards, you can use a second sheet of the submission form to list additional cards. However, make sure to select only one service level per submission form. This helps streamline the grading process and ensures that all cards are processed under the same criteria.
The turnaround time for grading varies based on the service level selected. Generally, the time frames range from a few business days to several weeks. You can check the specific turnaround times on the Beckett website or inquire directly when submitting your cards. Remember that these times represent the business days your cards are in Beckett's possession.
Inaccurate Personal Information: Failing to provide complete and accurate personal details, such as name, address, and contact information, can lead to significant delays or issues in processing your submission.
Missing Payment: Not including the required payment with your submission can result in your cards not being graded. Ensure that payment is made in full and is included with the submission form.
Incorrect Card Information: Listing incorrect details for the cards, such as the year, set name, or card number, may lead to grading errors. Double-check all information before submitting.
Neglecting to Choose a Grading Service: Failing to select the appropriate grading service level can result in your cards being processed under an incorrect category. Be sure to check only one service level per submission.
Not Using Proper Holders: Submitting cards without using the recommended semi-rigid holders can lead to damage during transit. Always use oversized holders and penny sleeves to protect your cards.
Ignoring Insurance Options: Not opting for return insurance can leave you vulnerable in case of loss or damage during shipping. Always declare a value for your cards and consider insurance for added protection.
Overlooking Tax Requirements: Texas residents must remember to add the appropriate sales tax to their total. Ignoring this requirement can lead to complications in processing your order.
When submitting cards for grading through Beckett Grading Services, there are several other forms and documents that can be useful. Understanding these documents can help streamline your submission process and ensure everything is in order. Here’s a list of common forms you might encounter alongside the Beckett Grading form.
By familiarizing yourself with these documents, you can make the grading process more efficient and enjoyable. Each form plays a role in ensuring your cards are handled properly and returned safely. Happy collecting!
The Beckett Grading form shares similarities with the PSA Submission Form, which is used for submitting cards to Professional Sports Authenticator. Both documents require collectors to provide detailed information about the cards being submitted, including the card's year, set name, and declared value. Just like the Beckett form, the PSA form includes sections for grading service levels and payment options. Collectors must also agree to specific terms and conditions, ensuring a clear understanding of the grading process and associated fees.
Another document that resembles the Beckett Grading form is the SGC Submission Form. The SGC, or Sportscard Guaranty, also requires detailed information about each card, including the player's name and card number. Similar to Beckett, SGC offers various grading services, and the submission form outlines the fees for each service level. Both forms emphasize the importance of payment in full before grading can occur, reflecting a standard practice in the grading industry.
The CGC (Certified Guaranty Company) Submission Form is yet another document that parallels the Beckett Grading form. CGC specializes in grading comic books, but their submission process shares key elements with Beckett's. Both forms ask for information about the items being graded, including their condition and value. Additionally, they include sections for payment and shipping options, highlighting the logistical considerations that collectors must manage when submitting items for grading.
Similar to the Beckett Grading form, the BGS (Beckett Grading Services) Regrading Submission Form allows collectors to submit previously graded cards for reevaluation. This form requires information about the original grade and the reasons for regrading. Like the standard grading form, it includes payment details and instructions for shipping. This process ensures that collectors can seek a second opinion on their card's grade, maintaining transparency in the grading process.
The PSA Cross-Over Submission Form is another document that bears resemblance to the Beckett Grading form. This form is used when collectors wish to submit cards graded by other companies to PSA for re-evaluation. It requires similar details about the cards, including their current grade and original grading company. Like Beckett, PSA emphasizes the importance of payment and includes options for shipping and insurance, which are critical for protecting valuable collectibles during transit.
Lastly, the GMA Grading Submission Form also aligns with the Beckett Grading form in its purpose and structure. GMA, or Global Media Arts, provides grading services for various types of collectibles. Their submission form requires detailed information about each item, including its condition and value. Both forms emphasize the necessity of complete payment prior to grading and outline the grading service options available, ensuring collectors are well-informed about the process and associated costs.
When filling out the Beckett Grading form, it is crucial to follow specific guidelines to ensure a smooth submission process. Here’s a list of what you should and shouldn't do:
